What it's about

Surveying thought and accomplishment from around this fractious world, Manifest Orders suggests that reality — meaningfulness — largely is determined by how one pays attention. The latest phase of this ongoing work, still in progress, may be freely downloaded and shared with anyone under Creative Commons license CC-BY-NC-ND.

Various essays written while researching future chapters may be found on the Related Matters page.

Where it's from

A gathering of ideas into multimedia concert, Manifest Orders is what author and artist Howard Jones calls a memecopia — literally, many thoughts brought together within a browsable context. Drawing on decades of experience in graphic art and a lifelong fascination with empirical sciences, Manifest Orders offers a holistic view congenial to diverse human endeavors.

How to Get it

Manifest Orders is an ongoing project.  It's available in its latest phase, 0.03.4, for download, both as
  • Apple iBook for use on MacOS and iOS devices, and
  • Interactive PDF for universal use on a wide variety of platforms.

 Sample Manifest Orders, online.

Note: Interactive experience is best on the Apple iBooks platform. Interactivity varies greatly with the PDF version, depending on specifics of platform and PDF reader app. Interactivity generally is better with PDF on computer browsers than on tablets or mobile phones. Here's hoping that some farsighted developer will develop a truly universal extended function reader for Interactive PDF memecopias.
